Due to modifications in the IRS computer system, taxpayers will experience a delay in their tax return. This applies to people who filed their taxes before Jan 26.

The computer system was modified in order to prevent refund fraud.

The penalty for tax convictions is extremely high in the cases that end up in court. This frightens people who are tempted to cheat.
Some of these convictions aren’t actually because people purposely evade taxes. Often times, people hire tax preparers who are not honest.

If you need help filing your taxes this year, or have any questions, don’t hesitate to call the certified public accountants from Gonzalez and Arrambide at 956-351-6537.

According to IRS data, the Arkansas Lottery owes the agency close to $100,000. The debt comes after the lottery failed to deposit taxes before the mandatory deadline. Representative, Berry Harp, says that internal auditors were partially to blame for the mishap.

Similar problems occurred during the 2009 tax filing season, however, chief financial officer Philip Miley convinced the IRS to waive those penalties. The IRS is penalizing the lottery with interest, adding more money each day they fail to pay.

Don’t let this happen to you or your business. Organize your taxes and ensure you always pay on time by seeking the professional tax filling advice of a certified public accountant. Contact the Weslaco accountants of Gonzalez & Arrambide, Inc. for reliable tax filling services at 956-351-6537.
